Boer Does |
We currently have about 100 breeding does, and several up and coming doelings. We have every kind of doe, from commercial, to fullblood. We have traditionals, paints, dapples, and solid colored does. We expect our does to thrive on dry land pasture on large acreages, our does must be capable of raising twins and getting their kids cleaned up and going on their own. We strive to produce animals that can compete in the ABGA show ring, even at the national level.
Zumwalt's April Kepner
% Doe sired by Capriole's As You Wish
April is easily the best percentage doe we currently have. We made the mistake of not getting her into the ring until she was 9 months old. She has consistently been in the top three, even when she was only 3 days into her age group. April has 13 show points and made the top 10 at Nationals in 2019.

Zumwalt's Lilith
Fullblood doe
MADI Power Trip X Capriole's Playing For Money
In my opinion Lilith is the coolest fullblood doe on our place. She is long, extremely level, big boned, and just all around pretty. She has been a favorite all summer (and her brother, Crowley!). We recently flushed Lilith to Stinker, getting 11 embryos, we are excited to get these kids on the ground!

SHUSH Moonshine (75%)
This doe is impossible to get pictures of! We purchased Moonshine from Dust Devil ranch as a doeling. Not only does she have a sweet personality, she is also pretty to see in the field! I generally don't like color, but I was talked into it! I am so glad to have this girl in our herd. She has been bred to Winchester for December kids! Moonshine had 2 BEAUTIFUL doe kids by Winchester in December.

Zumwalt's Precious' Legacy
Legacy passed away in December just before kidding. Leaving us heartbroken 💔
AKA: the princess, star of the show, the one in charge, little miss chub butt, etc.
Legacy runs the place, she does what she wants. If she wants to ride in the feed pickup, that is what she does. Legacy was born prematurely and was never able to go back to her dam, so she was bottle raised. She immediately earned her name because she reminded us of my very first bottle kid, Precious. We had lost Precious to predators the year before Legacy was born, and Precious was very special to us. Legacy struggled the first few months of her life, after finally learning to walk and nurse a bottle she developed pneumonia, about a month after we thought she recovered, it came back. Once Legacy hit 5 months old she took off growing, and just kept putting on the weight! She Then earned the nickname "chub butt", she eats everything in sight and always finds a way to get all the pellets she can possibly eat. Legacy insists on getting in the trailer every time we go somewhere, and often finds herself at shows she was not invited to.
